Parallel universes are one of the enigmas that have aroused more controversy. It is a subject that has been treated by science fiction and that has prompted scholars, philosophers and scientists to expand on the most diverse theories and hypotheses about; both as regards the nature of these universes as well, in terms of location with respect to our known universe.
The purpose of this note is not to explain the nature or function of these universes, but to present a series of events, many familiar, some less, in all of which suggests something related to whatever is dimensions and parallel worlds.
There are several facts concerning disappearances of people, objects, etc., without a trace and as opposed to this, others about unforeseen occurrences, apparently arising time, either past or future.

| Parallel Universes Theory |
In the city of South Bend, in the state of Indiana, USA, an event occurred by other unusual and surprising.
Passed Christmas Eve 1890; It tom Lerch, head of the family, was at home surrounded by friends and other members of the same, including his son Oliver, 20 years old; who later would leave on a trip, perhaps, no return. It was about ten o'clock at night and his mother was making arrangements for dinner, when he asked Oliver to go to the well to fetch water; he put on his coat and left the house. Not much time had passed when suddenly people gathered there heard a terrifying scream, which could recognize the anguished voice of Oliver for help, shouting repeatedly: "Help, I have grasped."
"Help, help," his voice now came from heaven, but he will not see a thing, despite the illumination of the moon. The subsequent search led to nothing that might show what happened, only proof was Oliver's footsteps toward the pit, but at some place abruptly disappeared.
On this case there have been several hypotheses, two of which are most commonly set out: it would be a possible abduction by an alien ship, or step into an unknown dimension.

| The Interdimensional Gates |
A case report in the newspaper "La Razon" of May 21, 1974; He reads as follows: "Bogotá (AFP). Another fact published in newspapers in the country, in November 1965, reads: "The Douglas DC-4, T-48 of the Air Force Argentina fell in the Caribbean, after party Panama, its disappearing 69 crew: officers and cadets of the Military Aviation School in Cordoba ".
An extensive and prolonged search in areas of Costa Rica, leaving no surplus was made; only he knew the plane with all hands had disappeared; nothing was found that could show a possible accident.
In the book "The World of Psychic Phenomena", that is, The World of Psychic Phenomena, F. Edsall, a case that is very eloquent appears; it is the appearance and materialization of a group of soldiers in hard contest.
This took place in Keyton, England, was days before Christmas, when shortly after midnight local peasants awoke to the noise that seemed to produce firearms and murmurs of struggle; They left their homes and amazed they could see nothing less than the realization of soldiers entangled in a fierce battle. According to their banners and clothing they were identified as the troops of the Parliament and the Royal Army of Carlos I.
After two hours of fierce fighting the troops of Parliament totally defeated the Royal Army; amid the triumph and joy of the victors all vanished, leaving the place as if nothing had happened, the calm in the village of Keyton was reborn.
The same happened in two opportunities, the next two days.
The amazing part of this event lies in the fact that these farmers and villagers witnessed something that had not happened to them; it was the battle of Edge Hill, fought in the same village, but paradoxically after having been seen by these people on October 23, 1642.

| Two Realities and the Same Space-Time |
Eliminating the possibility of a probable hallucination or collective psychosis, since it obviously in the conditions under which the event developed is somewhat difficult to occur, one could say that this appearance came in reality of time, a parallel universe or a dimension that, like so many things, so far unknown.
A story published in the Sunday Express of London, on September 21, 1924, comments: "On July 24, 1924, while continuing hostilities between Arabs and English, the English Headquarters sent the official driver D. Stewart and Lieutenant William Day special mission in the desert of Mesopotamia; the purpose of the flight was to carry out a reconnaissance of the area, without intervening in any way in the battle. A truly baffling case. Could it passage to another dimension, an alternate universe or maybe teleportation?
A similar incident occurred in 1707 when it staged is the Japanese infantry during World War II. | Parallel Realities |
It seems to happen, and in all cases be glimpsed something of this, that sometimes, mysterious doors open to "swallow" something of our world or of our Universe. Obviously there are certain conditions that must be given to effect the passage of something or someone from this world to another "parallel" and vice versa.
Another well-known and commented mystery is that of Saint Brendan's Island. This island has been appearing and disappearing for centuries, being able to see at every opportunity few minutes. In the Middle Ages it was known of this island; he sometimes went so far as to organize expeditions to go on its conquest.
One of the last appearances was registered on April 26, 1967; It was seen by thousands people of Iron, one of the islands of the Canaries. It is said that perhaps the island of St. Brendan escape from an alternate universe, to appear in ours and finally back to its origin.

Some scholars and researchers believe that parallel universes would be only two; some say that one would be positive and the other negative, then one of the basic laws of physics would have it, one would offset or compensate for the other's action, finding the whole in perfect balance and harmony.

| Universe and Antiuniverse |
Others argue something like this: say that our universe, which consists of matter, would have its equivalent in another, but consists of antimatter. On this there is much studied, suffice it to recall that they have already achieved in the laboratory, many antiparticles.
And we have people who think and intuit that there would be only two parallel universes, but an unlimited number of them, which would, perhaps, species echoes of a real one, which was projected into the past and into the future; in this case there would be no past, present and future, as is our conception, since, for example, what is happening now would have already happened and would happen. Past, present and future merge into one, the eternal present.
At this point it would be useful to remember and meditate on such wise words of Fyodor Dostoyevsky:
"The reality is infinitely diverse, escapes the ingenious deductions of abstract thought, does not support the close and accurate classification, reality tends to perpetual division, to the infinite variety".

Parallel Universes

The explanation of parallel universes to the UFO phenomenon is not really a formal hypothesis, but has the merit of connecting UFOs with certain philosophical aspects of theoretical physics. As pointed out by Dr. Hynek, the UFO phenomenon is localized in time and space; many incidents occur in a sandbox (45% of cases in UNICAT) and end suddenly, creating the impression that the witness no longer exist.
Another indication that something extraordinary takes place in the presence and / or vicinity of a UFO is what Jenny Randles has called the "OZ factor". This name identifies a number of symptoms narrated by the victims of abductions and characterized by a sense of dissociation, "having temporarily left the material world" and have gone elsewhere with the qualities of dreams, magic governed by rules. The OZ factor, according to Randles, is established and stops quickly.
These abnormalities would be easily explained by postulating that physical objects is able to move between three-dimensional universe, adjacent a fourth spatial dimension. This concept is easy to understand considering an example. The pages of a book are two-dimensional, and to go from one corner to the opposite, entities constrained to remain in that universe can do just moving across the page. But from our point of view tridimensionado, the same effect can be obtained by simply bending the page (in the third dimension) so that the opposite angles are touching. Using the third spatial dimension, then, the great distance between the edges of the page is missing. From the mathematical point of view the four-dimensional generalization no difficulties, assuming ordinary three-dimensional space, adjacent to the fourth spatial dimension in the same way as the pages of the book are parallel in the third dimension.
Of course, in the present state of science these concepts are only theoretical. But it is conceivable that more advanced civilizations have the knowledge and the necessary technology to implement it.
Therefore, this possibility should be welcomed by proponents of the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis, since apparently solve one of the difficulties of such a hypothesis, namely, the magnitude of interstellar distances.
